What we do

We provide our customers with biological solutions in various agriculture segments. We thoroughly choose products for our portfolio by renowned partners and test them in local environmental conditions in Central Eastern Europe and verify under local agriculture practices.

Some of our products are also directly produced by ourselves – beneficial predatory mites Typhlodromus pyri or parasitic wasps Trichogramma sp. As an outcome we offer complete system including advisory services for crop protection and sustainable soil quality management.

Who we are

Biocont was established in 1991 by Milan Hluchý with the commitment of change agriculture practices towards ecological and sustainable solutions. Cornerstone of our systems was production of Typhlodromus pyri and biological protection of vineyards. That is how we started.

Nowadays Biocont employs over 50 professionals and operates in 5 countries. lt is acknowledged as professional partner for biological solutions in several agricultural segments.

GRAPEVINE

Permanent crops are ideal for longterm establishment of environment with functional biodiversity. Pollinators, beneficials, natural pests enemies and solutions such as mating disruption and organic PPPs play important role in programs with organic and low residues production.

FRUIT ORCHARDS

ln order to reduce chemical input to vineyards we offer complete portfolio for organic and IPM production – naturally with advisory services and eventually taylor-made plan for vineyards. Our portfolio consists of plant protection products, plant strengtheners, nutritions, mating-disruption, cover crop mixtures and predatory mites.

FIELD CROPS

Large growing areas of field crops and its intensive spraying have huge impact on environment. By testing various biological solutions, we aim to ensure their availability for this important agricultural segment in the future.

VEGETABLE

Due to the increasing consumers’ demands on food quality and minimization of residue level, whole food chain supply is influencedstarting from production point. This pressure increases the need for biological solutions which we provide with future focus on bio-insecticides.

GREENHOUSE

Our clients can rely on us preparing individual spray programs for the whole growing season. Apart from bio-pesticides and biological solutions against range of pests (e.g. aphids, mites etc.) we distribute pollinators and beneficial organisms from top-class producers.
